In addition to launching the new fresh life website; we also began our new series called NUCLEUS, going thru the book of Colossians, this weekend at fresh life.  We took our time in the first study, paying attention to all the background info about the book, and then we made it through the two-verse introduction that Paul wrote.  I especially love the series artwork and setup piece that our creative team came up with for the series.  Their mission was to somehow convey the idea that with Christ in His rightful place–at the center–everything comes together.  I love what they came up with.

This week is also the kick-off week for our brand new fresh life groups (talk about a big week!) which are our intentional approach to fulfilling the need for community in a growing church.  A large amount of those who attend fresh life are now in one of these groups meeting in homes throughout the city.  I am so thrilled to see what God will do through them. Hopefully by next trimester we are able to get even more people plugged in. Through technology, I am able to visit every group each week and jumpstart the discussion with some thoughts about how the text we have studied that week in church should intersect with our daily lives.
