Levi Lusko was born in Colorado in 1982 moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1993. Levi grew up in a Christian family, and has never known life outside of church. “I am so thankful that my parents raised me knowing the Scriptures and am trying to raise my children the same way,” Levi remarked. As he grew older, religion, church and God became a routine for him that lacked meaning. Though he knew all the Bible stories and went to many church activities, Levi didn’t take his walk with God seriously.
That all changed dramatically the summer before his freshmen year in high school when Levi went on a lake trip with a youth group and God broke through. “I saw that the Lord wanted more than just one hour out of my week in church, He wanted my heart. That was the difference,” Levi said. It wasn’t long before Levi had the opportunity to put his fresh faith to work when he first tasted what it meant to be used by God on a mission trip to Europe. Romania became the first of numerous overseas missions that became a major part of his life. As Levi said, “I went to the Philippines, Nepal and other places and I really saw the need for fulfilling the Great Commission.” After graduating from Hope High School in New Mexico, Levi attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California then spent a semester studying in York, England.
While on a trip to Israel, Levi was invited by Skip Hetizig to serve as youth pastor at Calvary of Albuquerque, one of the largest churches in the state of New Mexico. “During this time, Skip invested time in me and I learned the ministry from the inside out,” Levi commented. Teaching a weekly Bible study, leading mission trips to Macedonia and elsewhere, all gave Levi a taste for serious ministry that has never left him.
Following this, he ministered in Orange County, California where he was the director of student ministries and was a teaching pastor at Ocean Hills Church in San Juan Capistrano, California.
In 2004 Levi began the O2 Experience, a high-energy event geared at reaching young people with the message of sexual purity and the gospel. In addition to speaking at the O2 events, he has spoken at churches, concerts, and evangelistic outreaches all over the country.
Levi has served as host for Greg Laurie’s Harvest Crusades, and has recently worked with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association as a creative consultant.
He is the Pastor of Fresh Life Church, a multi-site church in Montana. His teaching style is real, relevant, and raw. In addition to communicating Gods truth, he loves to snowboard, surf, cycle, read and drink coffee. Levi lives with his wife Jennie and their daughters, Alivia, Lenya, Daisy and Clover, in Northwest Montana.
